O.K. gals … forgive me … I’m new at this Word Press thingy. I downloaded all of the swap pictures in the previous post/pictures that Dina posted. Just keep scrolling through the pictures and you’ll find all of the swaps.I’m sure there was a better place to put them, but I couldn’t figure out how in a fast way.
Enjoy … wish I had the time to give credit where credit is due. But thanks to all who participated, donated cards to World Joy and Aspire and generously donated to the auction items that were available. You are all amazing people and I love you so much! And by the way, many told me that these were the best hand-stamped swaps that they had ever seen! I totally agree!
What many of you didn’t know, but at the night of the dinner we had just gotten word that my husband’s office was shut down and all of the employees were laid off. Even though it was bad news, being with you all made up for the terrible knot in my stomach over the loss of his job. But here’s the good news … he found work last week and started his new job the day after he was hired. Amazing how the Lord takes care of us! I had faith that all would work out well in our behalf. And here’s the neat news. He’s working for a large mining engineering firm from Canada, north of Toronto called Cementation. See, I’ve said for years how I love my Canadian demonstrators and now I feel even more connected with you because Lynn is working for a Canadian firm! We have great benefits and the company pays for all of our health insurance. Good pay and great people to work with. Life really is wonderful, isn’t it?
Are we going to do this again next year? Possibly … I’m thinking about it. I’ll let you know in plenty of time so you can be the first to register. Love to you all! — Linda

I know you’re all packing for convention, but if you have a few minutes to spare and a little extra room in your
suitcases, please throw in a VersaMark pad, black marker, and a small background set from your Itty Bitty background stamp set, or anything similar. We will have supplies for (8) tables for Make & Take # 4, but if you would rather sit at one table and stamp all (4) projects without having to move, it will probably make your evening more enjoyable.
Thanks and see you in 4 days!
Love, Linda

Just a few housekeeping reminders about the upcoming convention and the Evening To Remember event in Salt Lake City on Friday July 23, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00. It is important that everyone arrive ON TIME, check in, receive their M&T packages, find a seat and enjoy the wonderful evening we have planned. Please check the M&T Information page on supplies to bring for the M&T projects (its best to get together with someone and share the items you’ll be bringing. There are a few essentials everyone should bring (adhesives, snips and bone folder).
The location is:
Joseph Smith Memorial Building
9th Floor
15 E. South Temple
Salt Lake City, Utah
84150
If you are participating in the SWAPS please remember to bring the +1 card at the check-in / tables. They will all be photographed and posted online (on a password protected page that only registrants will be able to see). If you are not participating in the swaps, full cards will be graciously accepted and donated to Linda’s 2 charities.
If there is additional news, please check often for any updates.

I’ve closed Groups 1, 2 and 3 (38 participants) to provide stampers with a guideline of how many swaps to prepare for. We are still looking for 2 additional people for the SINGLE LAYER SWAP.
Happy cropping crafters, can’t wait to meet with you all!
Remember that you don’t need to participate in the swaps to donate a full card to Linda’s 2 charities.

We have realized that we will not have the space to display the 4 organized swaps taking place at An Evening To Remember 2010 so we will photograph every swap card and post them on this website – on a password protected page after the event has happened.
The event is coming up quite quickly, we look forward to meeting with you all in a few short weeks!!

I’ve added the 4th and final group of 20 or “whatever-number-we-end-up-with“ (no other additional will take place this evening so that we can get through the entire agenda….which will be posted shortly).
Take a look at the Swap Sign-Up for the details. The theme is still Occasions but the format slightly different.
People have been asking to change groups and for the moment, I’ve stopped switching in Group 1 and 2 – simply because its getting a little difficult to manage the requests and fill the empty spots that remain.
All of your names are in alphabetical order by first name. So, if you’ve asked to participate in a swap, look for your first name rather than any specific position on the list

“An Evening To Remember” Swap (50 +1)
Occasions / Celebrations
(i.e. Wedding, Birthday, Graduation, Mother’s Day, etc…)
Update Group 3
- If we are not at 50 we will close the swap sign-up on July 10 and make the number of swaps the # of people who have signed up.
Updated Group 4
- To provide a variation in the swap, I’ve decided to change the 4th Group to a SINGLE LAYER SWAP. I’ve participated in a few of these over the years and come out with the most beautiful simple workshop wow samples with one single layer.
- Guidelines (simple): SINGLE LAYER – no ribbons, buttons, pop-ups, brads or other SU embellishments. Use only CURRENT SU product (as of July 1, 2010). The format can be either full (4 1/2″ by 5 1/4″) cards or card fronts (depending on your design).
- The sentiment will be the same as the other 3 groups (Occasions/Celebrations)
- You must be attending the event to participate in the swap
- +1 FULL card will be accepted and donated to Linda’s 2 charities.
- Here is a sample I made for a Single-Layer SWAP from last year
Guidelines (Groups 1, 2 and 3)
- You must be attending the event to participate in the swap
- The +1 Full Card card will be accepted as you sign in and donated to World Joy and Aspire (Home Health & Hospice) and displayed during “An Evening To Remember” dinner.
- If you would simply like to donate a full cardfront to Linda’s charities, those will be collected as well.
- Standard sized 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Cardfronts
- Current SUO (Stampin’ Up! Only) products only – including current colors, stamp sets, embellishments and DSP. This does NOT include the current mini catalog sets (unless they are in the new catalog)
- Your best “demo quality” work
- Please provide instructions (if required) but most importantly YOUR NAME so demo’s can provide credit where it is due!
Format:
- We will swap in Groups of 50 (so you will leave with a card of your own)
- Please remember to bring a bag or box to swap with – we will do the circle swap (start in one position and drop one of your swaps in a bag/box until you return to your own spot)
Now What?
- Please sign-up just once (in order to allow for everyone to participate) if the groups of 50 are not filled on June 23, 2010 we will open it up to fill a group of 50. I will add people to the list as you add your comment!
- We will NOT add any additional Groups past 4 Groups (so that we can enjoy the entire night within the time frame)
